The Cairns City Council contacted Renaissance Funk after the Host Company who runs their Festival Of Sports Web site was unable to realise the Cairns Council's vision, and offered up a mediocre design for the 2009 FOS. The company, who I will politely withhold their name, has a good system that they offer sporting clubs to conduct their sponsorship and registration as well as allow a web presence, but fell short in offering designs that would showcase each sports club individually and modernly. It's their system but still they saw only limitations and barriers to designing in and around it.

Enter Renaissance Funk.

We went in and then stepped outside the box. Hey presto, cool looking Festival of Sport Web site. So funky that the council asked Renaissance Funk to design and create all branding for their festival that had the same youthful and urban look and feel. DL's for the lead up Couch to 2.5 training runs, and the actual festival day DL. Plus poster and Staff/volunteer/sponsors T-shirt.
